Brian and Haley Sakultarawattn
At 19, Brian was on top of the world. He had a good job working at a tree farm in Oregon, and he was engaged to 18-year-old Haley. In 1995, a fiery explosion at Brian’s jobsite left him battling for life and limb — he lost his arms, part of his leg, and suffered burns over 97% of his body. Later, he lost his vision. Yet Haley remained constantly at his side. Song of Solomon 8:6 says, “love is as strong as death,” and months later, Brian and Haley married. Now, 16 years later, this happy couple have three beautiful children. This remarkable man is a well-respected leader in disability ministry and has served as camp pastor at our Family Retreats – it’s why I’m excited that Brian and Haley are hoping to attend our Global Access Conference in February.
