Amid the Great Resignation, Joni and Friends is Recognized Again as a Best Christian Workplace for 2021
AGOURA HILLS, CA – Feb. 14, 2022:
For the 16th year in a row, Joni and Friends has been designated a Best Christian Workplace for parachurch and missions organizations.
Certified by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute, this outstanding recognition honors the healthy workplace culture and Christian leadership cultivated at the organization and is demonstrated through exceptional employee survey results. In spite of the Great Resignation, Joni and Friends has engaged employees, nurtured healthy teams, and inspired ministry staff to do great work.

Joni and Friends was founded in 1979 by Tada who in a diving accident was left a quadriplegic at 17. Ministry began as she responded to letters from people challenged by disability in search of support. Over the past 40 years, the organization has grown to serve thousands of people worldwide: more than 200,000 wheelchairs and Bibles have been distributed through the Wheels for the World program, 63,000 special needs family members have been encouraged at Retreats & Getaways, disability ministry training and higher education has been provided through the Christian Institute on Disability, and complete Christ-centered care is now offered through new Joni’s House international disability centers worldwide.
