Senior Vice President, Accounting & Finance

Liz Carey brings extensive experience in finance, accounting, and administration to her leadership role at Joni and Friends. She has held various finance positions within tech, retail, travel, and consulting-research industries, and has overseen accounting teams for organizations in various stages of growth. During her career, Liz has also dedicated 15 years to ministry work with Christian non-profit organizations, including Joni and Friends.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Professional Accounting from California State University at Long Beach and earned her CPA license while working at a large international public accounting firm.

Liz has a heart for the mission of Joni and Friends as her eldest of three children was born with severe disabilities. She feels blessed to serve this amazing ministry alongside her fellow employees. For more than 25 years, Liz and her family have lived in Southern California.
