State Fair of Texas

Join Joni and Friends Texas for our third annual partnership with the State Fair of Texas! Join us at the Fair on October 1st from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to experience a disability-friendly version of the fair, with adjustments made to enhance accessibility, and dedicated “Quiet Zones.”
Volunteer buddies will be partnered with registered families to provide support throughout the fair. The Midway will be accessible to all from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. without bright lights or sounds that can overwhelm visitors with sensory-related concerns.
Tickets may be purchased at the State Fair upon arrival.
Join Joni and Friends Texas as a volunteer as we co-host a disability-friendly experience at the State Fair of Texas. Together, we will serve individuals living with disability on October 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to make the fair accessible for all families.
Volunteers will be paired with families to act as buddies throughout the fair visit. Training will be provided prior to family arrival.
Ticket to the fair and Joni and Friends t-shirt will be provided free of charge for volunteers.
