Seminary and Bible College students participating in this internship will have received training in disability ministry through Beyond Suffering (BYS), and now have the opportunity to participate in practical application in serving people affected by disability through Family Retreat. Family Retreat Join us in serving families affected by disabilities. Stronger Together and Joni and Friends will collaborate to host a weekend of rest, renewal, and the sharing of Christ’s love. Volunteers will be paired with a camper with a disability or their family member, and together enjoy fellowship, fun programming, and memorable camp experiences. Volunteers will have training and support during their experience from our leadership team, and many come back again and again to continue to experience the wonder of Family Retreat. We hope you will come to serve with us! All interns are granted opportunity to use their gifts and skillsets to serve their team and people affected by disability with whom they come into contact. Whether you’re a special education, therapy, or ministry major or are a person with great organizational, photography or writing skills, come ready to unite as a team to bring hope only God can provide for the marginalized of society.
