Disability Friendly Day at the Mississippi State Fair

Thanks to our partners at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds, Joni and Friends will be hosting a Disability Friendly Day at the Mississippi State Fair! Join us from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. to experience a disability-friendly version of the fair with adjustments made to enhance accessibility like sensory tents, wheelchair accessible restrooms, and dedicated quiet zones available alongside the classic attractions of the Mississippi State Fair. Volunteer buddies will be partnered with registered families to provide support throughout the day.

Attention: There are no physical tickets for this event. Simply check in at our registration table upon arrival.

Join Joni and Friends Mississippi as a volunteer as we co-host a disability-friendly experience at the Mississippi State Fair. Together, we will serve individuals living with disability from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. to make the fair accessible for all families. Volunteers will be paired with families to act as buddies throughout the fair visit.

To show their support to the disability community, the Mississippi State Fair has offered a free ticket for the day for all those that register through Joni and Friends.
