Who Has Your Heart?
Who has your heart? I mean really has it? Like, what do you think of first thing in the morning? Where do your affections lie? Food, jogging, Netflix, books, a boyfriend? What has gripped your heart? Well, God has given you the sun, moon, stars; he’s given you sunny mornings and fragrant flowers, friendship, family; he’s given you your eyesight, your strength, laughter, the very air you breathe; he’s given you peace, faith, hope, mercy, goodness, and salvation.
He’s given you everything, his very life, Jesus Christ, even. And if he has given you all these things and more? Can you not give him your heart? It’s what he’s asking for. Because, if God does not have your heart, whoever or whatever else has it, doesn’t have your best interest at heart.
