When We Trust Him

“The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.”
Psalm 147:11

Wouldn’t it be great if you knew beyond a doubt that you could delight – I mean really delight – the Lord? Do something that gives him joy and pleasure? Or put it this way: would you like assurance that the Lord takes great pleasure in you? Well sure, you do. Psalm 147 says, “The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.”

God loves it when we trust him. You can bring delight to the heart of your Savior if you would but turn to him, rely on and yield to him in your difficult situation. So today, keep choosing God’s ways over temptation. Pray to him when you feel overwhelmed. Do not be timid in a social group. Speak boldly about Jesus. Are your hopes fading? Keep them bright in Christ. Because when you do these things and more, God loves it!
