The Right Direction

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”

2 Corinthians 4:16

I’m going in two directions at once. But I’m not undecided about things. You see, Second Corinthians 4, 16 says, “Outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” Outwardly, my abilities and strength are diminishing (I’m getting to the point with my quadriplegia, that it’s getting harder to feed myself).

But inwardly? Oh, oh, I’m gaining so much; I’m gaining a greater capacity for Jesus (and that offsets my physical losses). So, my advice? Outwardly? Let go of what you can hold onto physically, while inwardly, lean hard on Jesus. Believe him more. Love him more. Be slightly different, more obedient and affectionate toward Jesus than you were yesterday. So, don’t be undecided. Get going in the right direction and gain more of Jesus.
