That My Faith Not Fail
It is no easy task getting me to sleep. I mean, I’m a quad with all kinds of physical issues. So, the other night Ken helped me put on my lymphatic sleeve, my chinstrap and mask, hooked me up to my ventilator, fed it into my oxygen, then positioned the pillows and asked, “Are you all set?” I could feel the claustrophobia, thinking of the pain I would face in the night.
I asked him (through my many layers of “stuff”), I said, “Please pray that my faith not fail.” You see… None of us is above falling flat on our face spiritually. No one has a faith that’s all figured out and neatly packaged. So, if you are in trouble spiritually? It’s okay to ask a friend, “Pray that my faith not fail.” Oh, by the way, I made it through that awful night!
