Skipping Like Calves
“For you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.”
Malachi 4:2
My quadriplegia can feel so confining. I can’t walk; use my hands. I sit in a wheelchair… And sometimes all the restrictions feel so “limiting.” But there’s one heavenly scripture that blows the lid off those confinements! Listen!
God says in Malachi 4, verse 2, that one day Jesus is gonna rise with healing in his wings (Whew, like, isn’t that cool)! And (here’s the best part) we will, quote, “go out and skip like calves released from the stall.”
I love that! Picture happy little calves released, barging out of the stall, hopping, skipping to be freed from all the stuffy confines of the barn! That’s us! And I cannot wait to jump out of my wheelchair and do just that!
Want to join me, little calf? Well, make sure you know this Jesus who will one day rise with healing in his wings for you.
How to Flourish Within Your Limitations
