“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
The New Year spreads out before us like uncharted territory. That could make you nervous, but Joshua chapter 1 tells us to “be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go.” That’s such an encouragement! Your sovereign God who rules over every sad circumstance (hospitals or funeral homes) and every happy circumstance (whether weddings or graduations); your great God and Savior will be with you, next to you, by your side, wherever this year takes you. So, keep in step with the Spirit and strengthen your faith in 2025; get your heart ready to follow your Savior into the months ahead. And what is his word as we start the year together? Be strong. Be courageous. Don’t be discouraged. The Lord is with you.
