My Ever-Present Help
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1
I wonder if you noticed this ‘lateral support’ that’s been holding me up straight? Some of you have asked why I tend to lean to the right (well, about a year ago my scoliosis reached its tipping point, and I started ‘falling over’). But I love this support; so much so, I hardly notice it. But, oh, what a difference it makes. I can breathe better. Sit up longer. And not fall over. It’s great! And so… I am calling it my “ever present help.” Yes, I’ve given it a name. I want this lateral support to be my tangible reminder of Psalm 46 and how God is my ever present help in every trouble. And he is! Whether chronic pain or worsening scoliosis, I know I’m not in trouble. For God is my ever present help! (Thank you for that reminder, lateral support)!
