Mighty to Save
“It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.”
Isaiah 63:1
Isaiah 63 says: “Who is this, with his garments stained crimson … striding forward in the greatness of his strength?” And the Lord answers, “‘It is I mighty to save.’” And when the Bible says that God is mighty to save, it means more than your salvation only. Just how mighty is our God? He can make you a believer, and then carry out whatever he starts in your life. He does not leave you to shift for yourself – he fulfills his purposes for you. God is mighty enough to make you snub sin, as well as make you love righteousness. If you despise holiness? He’s mighty enough to make you love it. He’s mighty enough to make you tire of the earth, and long for heaven. Today, invite the One who is mighty to save to do everything in your life he came to do, and so much more.
