Meeting Our Needs
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
Recently my Sunday night caregiver moved out of town, and I fretted over who would replace her. Then I remembered where the Bible says that God will meet all our needs according to the riches of his glory in Jesus. So, I put my need to prayer, and in good time, God provided a new helper. You know…our greatest need can never exceed the abundant resources which are ours in Christ.
He is the vast and only reservoir of help for every one of your needs. An old Puritan once observed that there is in Christ something proportionate to our needs. He is bread to nourish us, a garment to cover us, a physician to heal us, a counselor to advise us, a captain to defend us, a treasure to enrich us, a prophet to teach us, a husband to protect us, and the father to support us. Today, friend, remember that Jesus will meet your needs. He stakes his life on it.
