Let the Redeemed Give Thanks
Doesn’t it feel great when God’s Word tells you to do something, and you actually do it? Well, Psalm 107 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say this.” There you have it. There’s your command. Let the redeemed of the Lord say, “Thank you.”
Be grateful to God. Speak of his love. Say that he’s good. Count your blessings. Name them, voice them, find something, anything for which you can give thanks. Because when you do, you are partnering with God’s Spirit in shaping your soul. Better yet, you are obeying his command to be grateful. So, on this Thanksgiving, speak aloud of God’s goodness and count your blessings. Because when the redeemed of the Lord say this, it’s pretty great.
