Knowing Yourself

“For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.”

Psalm 51:3

How well do you know yourself? You know your height, weight, social security number, ATM PIN, favorite movie… but do you know your own sins?

In today’s Scripture, David writes: “I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.” Do you know when you’re vying for attention, shading the truth, or hiding the facts? Do you know when your words ring hollow, when you secretly cut corners, or when you let that illicit fantasy dance across your imagination? Do you know when you deliberately resist the Holy Spirit’s voice to go in your own direction?

David told the Lord, “I know I have sinned. I admit it! I need Your cleansing.” It has to start there, doesn’t it? Because if we refuse to acknowledge our sins, if we try to whitewash our stubborn pride, if we live in the Land of Denial, we will never run into the merciful arms of our Savior, who loves to forgive and restore.

Lord Jesus, I do run to You, right now. I’ve had enough of trying to hide. As best as I know how, I open my life, my thoughts, my words, and my actions to Your inspection. Forgive me and heal me, I pray, because I need You today more than ever.

The Power of Hospitality: Finding Healing and Wholeness in Community

In today’s churches, people—especially those living with disabilities—often feel lonely, isolated, and unknown. Rosaria urges Christians to practice hospitality, community, and inclusion, embracing the healing and wholeness that God intends for the church and each of his children.
