Jesus, Your Advocate

“Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.”

Hebrews 7:25

How much we owe to the prayers that Jesus offers up on our behalf! Right now Jesus is your Advocate in heaven, saving and rescuing you, as well as interceding for you before the Father. Hebrews chapter 7 even says that Jesus “lives forever to intercede with God” on behalf of those who come to God through him. 

If you’re wrestling against temptation or caving in spiritually, or if you feel your faith weakening in a hard trial, take heart from these words from Jesus in Luke 22; he says, “But I have prayed for you…that your faith may not fail.” No matter what the issue, Jesus is eternally available to you to offer strength, forgiveness and grace. If you are struggling, be certain to ask Christian friends to pray for you, but also thank Jesus that he’s already doing just that and more.
