How Good God Treats You
“For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.”
Psalm 33:4
Years ago, my friend, Steve Estes gave me such wise advice. And today? I’m passing it on. He said: “Keep praising God no matter how good he treats you!” …. Okay, admit it: You were expecting me to say, “No matter how bad he treats you,” right? The truth is, God never treats you poorly. Nothing he ever allows in your life is bad for you and your eternal destiny. He never does anything to harm your soul (why would he? God proved his good intentions when he sent his Son to die for you)! And so… Psalm 33 says God always treats us in faithfulness and ‘never’ as our sins deserve. Oh, friend, God treated us so great when he showed us mercy at the cross of Christ!. And that proved, from then on out, everything he would do for you ‘has’ to be good.
