Here Comes the Sun
I just listened to the Beatles’ classic “Here Comes the Sun”—a song I played a lot when I was first injured. Thirty seconds into it, I was sobbing, thinking of those dark days in the hospital when I thought I’d never smile again, would never see the sunlight of hope. And now, fifty-five years later? “How in the world did I ever make it?”
But here I am, living in joyful hope as though it were sunshine. How did it happen? Here’s how: Day after day, month after month, year after year, I called out to Jesus. I clung to His name, crying out constantly, “O Jesus!” Malachi 4 says that if we revere God’s name, “The sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays.” If you are struggling through dark times, call on Jesus, and you’ll soon be singing, “Here comes the Son.”
