Happy in Christ
God says, “Be holy as he is holy.” Now… We could take that to mean him saying, “Look, come on, my Son died for you; that’s a really big deal so you’d better get with the program; start obeying me or else!” But, that’s not his attitude.
Yes, Christ dying for you is a very big deal, but he wants you to be holy because he is fully committed to making you happy… Happy in Christ. SO, God tells you to walk in a manner that is worthy of Jesus so that your soul can be made roomier, bigger, and larger for him.
God wants your soul to be swept clean in order to make more room for the one that you say that you love: Jesus! Look, God is fully committed to making you happy, giving you true joy in the Lord Jesus. So, when God says, “Be holy,” believe me, he’s got your very best interest at heart.
