Glory And Strength
“Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my Gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ….”
Romans 16:25
When you read a doxology in Scripture, it usually includes a statement which is meant to draw attention to the glory of God. A doxology can be found in Romans 16 where Paul says, “Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my Gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ….” Paul is saying that we find strength – that is, perseverance, endurance and faith – when we lean into the preaching of Christ.
As you grow in your knowledge of Christ, trusting and obeying him in your hardships, God’s glory is magnified. He is glorified by making you strong through Jesus. And the stronger you become in faith and hope in Christ, the greater and more glorious God appears. Friend, let your life be one shining doxology. Let the Gospel make you strong today, and you’ll really turn up the brightness on the glory of God.
