Faith That Never Fails

“So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.”

Acts 27:25

In the book of Acts, we read of that time the apostle Paul was on a ship, facing a fierce storm. The rain slashed at the sails, and waves began to crack his ship apart. Acts says that, “when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared… all hope that we should be saved was taken away.” Everyone had lost hope… and yet… Paul says to the sailors, “Men, be of good cheer; for I believe God, that it shall be as it was told me.” In other words, he trusted God and in what God had said. You don’t have to be an apostle to have great faith.  You show great faith when, against all odds, you keep trusting God and his word. When stormy trials threaten to drag you under; when all hope seems lost… can you do it? Of course, yes, trust God and believe his Word.
