Breast Cancer Friends
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and when you’re going through cancer, friends make all the difference. Like, when I was in the hospital for cancer surgery, and I came home, wheeled into my bedroom, and I was stunned? My regular furniture had been replaced by a big, clunky hospital bed, a breathing machine, a mechanical lift, and boxes of supplies. Yikes, I felt like I was back in the hospital! But that’s when a few friends chipped in. They moved furniture; they cleared off counters, they repositioned rugs, emptied boxes, hid my hospital bed under an afghan, and put all my supplies in empty drawers. My bedroom was back to being a quiet sanctuary. You know, when you’re dealing with a tough medical condition like cancer, you need a support network. Friends are God’s way of showing you that He is your ever-present help in any trouble. Would you like to start a support network for someone with a tough medical condition?
