Be Wise with Your Time
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12
With quadriplegia, lung problems, chronic pain, and aging, life isn’t getting easier. It’s also getting shorter. Yet even though I’m on the downside, that’s no cue to take it easy. If I only have limited time left, then, hey, I’m going to make the most of it. Psalm 90 says, “Teach me to number my days, O Lord, that I might apply my heart to your wisdom.”
Look, our lives are but a blip on the radar compared to eternity, and I don’t want to get to heaven, look back over my shoulder at earth, and think, “Man! Why didn’t I pray more? Why didn’t I believe God’s Word more? Why didn’t I tell more people about Jesus?!” Friend, the cosmic stakes are enormously high, and we dare not fritter away our days. So join me. Be bold. Have courage. Stay strong. Believe more. Trust God and seize the day.
