Pampering Day at Our LA Urban Family Retreat

Our Retreat for 28 special-needs families from the city of Los Angeles is underway this week. And today we will be ‘putting on the Ritz’ with a Spa and Tea Day for the mothers of disabled children. Four hairdressers, three manicurists, three massage therapists, and two facial experts will be volunteering their time to pamper these ladies (who, believe me, never, ever get a break like this :-). Many of these women are groaning and crying out to God, “For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me” (Psalm 109:22). So my friend Deborah, the organizer, is asking that we pray for “these precious women. Many are single moms in very difficult situations with their disabled children. May they grasp that the love and attention is a gift from Jesus himself!” Take a moment to pray for them right now :-)!
