Joni and Friends Georgia is thrilled to partner with Luke 5 Adventures to provide individuals with physical disabilities and mobility challenges the opportunity to experience the beauty of nature and explore trails that may otherwise be inaccessible. Thanks to this partnership, participation is completely free for both hikers and volunteers!

Our hike will take place at Tumbling Waters Trail in Ellijay, Georgia. This scenic trail features beautiful waterfall views and offers a unique opportunity for individuals of all abilities to experience God’s creation, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy the adventure of the outdoors together.

Luke 5 Adventures specializes in making hiking accessible to all by providing adaptive equipment, including specially designed hiking wheelchairs. Their team offers a range of equipment to accommodate the unique needs of most hikers under 260 pounds. After you register, a Luke 5 representative will contact you to complete a brief assessment and ensure the right equipment is provided for your specific needs.

Volunteers support hikers by assisting with hiking wheelchairs. Each hiker is supported by a team of four volunteers, allowing for breaks and rotation throughout the hike. We also welcome volunteers who would like to walk alongside and encourage our riders! No prior experience is necessary—just a heart to serve and a willingness to help others enjoy this unforgettable outdoor experience.
