University Affiliated Pediatric Screening and Training – Kenya (Nairobi)

August 30, 2026 - September 6, 2026

Interns serving with Joni and Friends will receive theological training, personal mentorship, and hands-on experience in the mission field in Nairobi, Kenya, preparing to live out Christ’s call on their lives. Every intern at Joni and Friends will use their gifts and talents to bring practical help and Gospel hope to people living with disabilities.

Interns will receive training on the biblical view of disability and a theology of suffering through the Joni and Friends Beyond Suffering course, the flagship curriculum of The Christian Institute on Disability at Joni and Friends. This core text aims to transform the way Christians view God’s plan for disability and suffering through biblical education on the theology of suffering.
We are carefully proceeding with this internship with safety protocols in place. If Joni and Friends cancels the event we will refund or reallocate the donations in accordance with our current policies.

The cost for this outreach is all-inclusive; however, any pre-outreach vaccination requirements are the responsibility of each individual traveler. Outreach costs may vary for applicants outside of the 48 contiguous United States. Wheels for the World will adhere to country protocols related to health and safety requirements.
