University of Northwestern nursing students in their third semester will serve as Joni and Friends interns providing 30 hours of respite care to families in the Twin Cities Area during the fall semester of 2025. Respite at Home is a unique opportunity to let God use interns’ time, hands, and hearts to make an eternal difference in the life of a child with a disability. Each student will be assigned together with another student to serve a child living with a disability for the spring term for a total of 10 visits. Interns will spend 3 consecutive hours each week with the child in his/her home providing respite to the child’s family.
