Joni and Friends at the State Fair, Texas 2024

Information for Fair Visitors: Joni and Friends Texas is excited to announce our new partnership with the State Fair of Texas! Join us at the fair on October 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to experience a disability-friendly version of the fair, with adjustments made to enhance accessibility, dedicated “Quiet Zones,” and volunteer buddies (1 to 2 per registered family) to provide support. The Midway will be accessible to all from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. without bright lights and sounds that can overwhelm visitors with sensory-related concerns.
Information for Volunteers: Joni and Friends needs volunteers like you as we co-host a disability experience at the State Fair of Texas. We need your help October 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to make the fair accessible for all families. Volunteers will be paired with families to act as buddies throughout the fair visit.
Note: To make this experience even better, each person that brings five canned food items to donate to North Texas Food Bank will receive a $5.00 admission into the State Fair of Texas.
