True Love for George

George never could see as well as other kids. It was hard for him to do school work, but his sisters helped him as much as they could. As a teenager, George found out that he was going to lose his eyesight completely. He was going to be blind! This was hard, hard news. His sisters all promised to continue helping him, but not everyone loved him as much as his sisters did. The woman George wanted to marry decided she couldn’t handle having a husband who couldn’t see. It was a sad time for George. But George knew that he still had a lot of ways that he could serve God. He continued going to school and became a pastor. And his sisters helped him study whenever he needed! Still, every once in awhile, George got sad that the woman he had loved hadn’t loved him as much. But during one of those times of being very sad and lonely, God gave him special words to remind him that God would never stop loving him. Those words became a song. Maybe you know it.
