This Thing is From Me
Sometimes God does things in our lives that seem utterly counterintuitive. I recall being at a conference and right before I was to speak, I’m backstage in terrible pain, hardly able to put two words together in a sentence. The timing was crazy. But I kept hearing God say in First Kings 12, “This thing is from me.” And that was a source of comfort.
Right then, I cast myself onto the Lord and begged him for strength. And you know what? At that conference, God showed up big time. So remember, for each interruption, for every weakness, God is sovereign. And he’s always got a purpose. So, if today you are being tested in a trial, God is saying to you, “This thing is from me.” So, hold on; he is sovereign. The timing may be crazy, but his purposes are always good
