You’ll Never Convince Satan

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. In Job chapter 2, Satan comes back to God time and again, giving one reason after the next why he’s convinced that man could never, ever trust God on His own merits. In other words, not only does Satan believe that you only trust the Lord because God blesses you, because He gives you good things; Satan is actually convinced there is nothing about God that’s worthy of your trust. And the devil is persistent. He will not accept any evidence that is contrary to his schemes. He will not be convinced. But he can be put to shame. Yep, you can put Satan to shame whenever you buckle down and trust God in your hardships. The devil cannot stand watching you elevate the Lord of the universe. So, today, live in such a way that demonstrates to all of heaven and hell that, yes, Jesus Christ is more than trustworthy. ʼCause it’ll disgust Satan, but delight God.
