Walking Shoes

By |Published On: August 1, 2020|Categories: 1-Minute Radio Program|

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and the path God has led me on these many years has been pretty rocky. It’s a path filled with stones and stubble; rugged and demanding. And for the most part, with my quadriplegia and chronic pain, it is an uphill climb. But God promises me and you something he promised his people in Deuteronomy chapter 33. He says, “Thy shoes shall be of iron and brass; and as thy days so shall thy strength be.” That’s an ancient promise intended for God’s people of old, but it’s also for you and me. Because like me, your walk with Christ is probably not through a soft meadow. Silk slippers won’t do. Life is hard and aren’t you grateful that when God puts you on a rocky painful path, he provides the shoes, the help, the provision that you need. So, keep climbing today, friend, your shoes of iron will last until we walk on streets of gold.
