Training Yourself in Godliness
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. The Bible says, “Train yourself in godliness.” Now, many of us struggle when it comes to doing that – the hard work of saying no to bad choices, and peevish attitudes, and sinful thoughts. So, how do you move forward? How do you do the hard work of saying no to sin and yes to God’s grace? Well, here is the easy, but difficult answer. The God of the Bible just has to become the blazing sun at the center of your daily life. Everything must revolve around Him. Simply put, God must be bigger than everything else in your life. As John Piper said, He must become the Niagara Falls of all the little creeks and rivulets in your life. He must become the Mount Everest among all the foothills of the many little things that concern you. Grace flowing like Niagara Falls and peace higher and greater than Mount Everest will be yours as you keep the Son of God as your blazing center. I’m Joni Eareckson Tada.
