To the One Who is Victorious

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and what goes through your mind when you hear, well, something like Revelation chapter 3 verse 21 where the risen Christ says, “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne.“ Like, how do those words make you feel? Astounded, astonished? You know, if we endure to the finish, God will one day stand up from his throne and say, “Come over here; here’s your seat. You sit alongside me and help me reign the universe.” Oh, my goodness, if that does not leave you breathless, then check your spiritual thermometer. Revelation 3:21 should knock us over with joy and wonder at the mercy and goodness of God. Yet the truth is, we’re all stunted when it comes to actually grasping the amazing grace of God. So, until that glorious Day, thank him the best you can, and know that one day you have a throne a-coming.
