The Truth
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and everybody nowadays keeps saying that they are seeking the truth. But Jesus said in John chapter 14, “I am the Truth.” Now, couple that with his mission to seek and save the lost, and what do you got? You’ve got the truth seeking the lost… not the lost seeking the truth! People don’t need to search for the truth; they just need to acknowledge and obey the Truth who is Jesus. That thought is not original to me, but I sure do love it.
Whoever wrote it also observed that, “truth is not hard to find for the very reason that it is seeking us! In the New Testament, multitudes came to Jesus for physical help, but only rarely did they seek him out to learn the truth. The whole picture in the Gospels is one of a seeking Savior, not one of seeking men.” The moral of this story friend? Accept the truth; accept Jesus, the one who is truly seeking out you.
