I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and you know, it’s the children we help through Wheels for the World that really grip my heart – and it’s even better when a kid can join our Wheels team. I’m thinking of little Becky. She’s 12 years old, in a wheelchair, and she has served on a Wheels for the World team! This incredible young girl journeyed to Romania to help distribute wheelchairs to disabled kids there. The disabled children in Romania adored her! God used Becky to share the hope of Jesus with kids at different churches. Everywhere she went, from her wheelchair, she recited Psalm 139 which talks about how she was formed in her mother’s womb. She would recite, “I will give thanks to thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” What a message for those disabled kids in Romania. And if Becky can make a difference, so can you! Visit joniandfriends.org, and get involved in bringing help and hope to kids with disabilities around the world.
