The Savior’s Work
Ever wonder what Jesus is doing right now? Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and it’s something we don’t think a lot about. But Hebrews explains exactly what our Savior is doing right now; it says, “Because Jesus lives forever, he is able to save completely those who draw near to God… he always lives to intercede for them.” In other words, this very minute, we are being rescued by Jesus. Because he’s our high priest, Jesus is praying for you and me. He’s asking the Father to sustain us, resource us, protect us from the evil one, and so much more. When we finally get to heaven, we will be astounded at the way Jesus led us, shielded and rescued us, guided us, and showered one blessing after the next on us…all because he prayed. So, praise God for the Lord Jesus whose work right now is to intercede for you today.
