The Measure of His Love
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I once heard someone say that if love could be measured, it would be measured by how much it gives. To be honest, though, love does not care to measure itself like that; it just joyfully keeps on giving without taking any notice of how much has been sacrificed. That’s the way God loves. The measure of His love is expressed in the gift of Jesus on the cross. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son,” it says in the Gospel of John. Friend, you cannot find a greater love than that! And this is why God should be so easy to trust and follow. C’mon, if God loved you enough to die for you, then it makes total sense that He’s completely trustworthy.
So take a moment and think: what is it that’s keeping you from trusting the Lord and following Him? Whatever it is, give it up, friend! After all, He gave His Son. So He is more than worthy of all your trust.
