The Lord Stands with the Needy

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and there are many references in the Bible about God’s love for the needy. But one that caught my eye is Psalm 109, verse 31 where it says that God stands at the right hand of the needy. That is really saying something. Because God doesn’t have to stand for anybody. When Jesus finished His work on earth, He went to heaven to sit down at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. To sit was His privilege, His honor; it proved that His work was completed. But in Psalm 109, this same Lord chooses to get up and stand as an advocate at the right hand of the needy. Perhaps the Lord stands because His work among the needy is not yet completed. And friend, that’s where you come in. Those with special needs are in need of your help. So, stand with us at joniandfriends.org. Like Jesus, be an advocate for someone who is needy.
