The Hope Tree

People cannot live without hope. Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. And I’m thinking of a hopeless woman in Uganda who, every day, carries her disabled 13-year-old daughter on her back. Then there’s little Sarah, who cannot walk and lays all day on a dirty mattress until her grandparents come home from work. You know… it is said of the Lord in Genesis 16 that, “He is the God who sees me.” Yes, God sees Sarah, and yes, God sees the bent back of the mother who carries her child, and he sees so many others. But it’s exactly why I love getting up in the morning and working at Joni and Friends. Because we are all about sharing God’s love, providing hope with wheelchairs, and lifting all the Sarah’s out of difficult situations they’re in.

So join us, would you, in sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways. Visit Wheels for the World at joniandfriends.org and help others to learn that God sees them.
