Sharing Your Gifts

Hi, I’m Joni Erickson Tada, and Julie decided to retire from being a physical therapist to raise her three young children. During that time, she learned knitting and made many blankets and little sweaters for her kids. That was many years ago. Recently, Julie decided to exercise her physical therapy skills by signing up to help us deliver wheelchairs to disabled people in Peru. At the last minute, she threw into her bag a couple of pair of knitting needles and some yarn. Yes, Julie was a huge help, fitting wheelchairs to disabled children, but you should have seen her during break time: there she was with several Peruvian mothers, teaching them how to knit. There are all sorts of wonderful ways to serve families affected by disability, even as far away as Peru. Are you interested in serving alongside someone like Julie? Well, we’ve got lots of good opportunities, so look into it today at joniandfriends.org.

Give a Wheelchair and Bible to a Child with Disability

For a child with disability who is alone in the dirt, a wheelchair provides a seat of dignity and hope she can touch. This Christmas, your gift of $220 will send a custom-fit pediatric wheelchair and Bible that transforms a child’s life for eternity!
