Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and you’ve got to wonder: why don’t we forgive others like Jesus does? Why aren’t we merciful to those who hurt us? How is it we can walk past suffering people and show little compassion when our lives have been blessed so much? The answer is simple. We don’t treat others as Jesus treats them because we don’t share His heart. But the Bible says, “Let this mind, let this heart be in you which is also in Christ Jesus.” So often, we want God to lavish His grace on us, but we become stingy when it comes to making sacrifices to help others experience His grace. You know the answer, don’t you? Gain the heart of Christ by getting to know Him today; follow His Word and obey His commands. For when you do, wild horses will not be able to stop you from forgiving, showing mercy, and offering compassion to those who need His love.
