Serving Others
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and my secretary thinks her neighbor, Don, is the greatest thing coming down the pike. She told me this morning, “Joni You know that man is over at my mother’s house right now fixing her lights? He is constantly doing for others!” I’m told that Don is retired, but you know, that man can only play so much golf, go on so many cruises, and watch so much TV. This man would rather be helping and serving others. It doesn’t surprise me – Don likes to follow the example of Jesus and Galatians 6 where it says, “… as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Friend, I encourage you to be like Don and do good by serving others – and if you need some ideas about serving people with disabilities, we’ve got plenty of good ones at joniandfriends.org.
