Resurrection Hope
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada. Every Christian has a happy hope in the resurrection, but often, I think disabled people possess a livelier hope. Robin is a woman with Down syndrome and she is so, so, so excited about the resurrection. When Robin receives her new, glorified body, the first thing she wants to do is put on her wedding gown. Her mother gave Robin her old wedding gown to take to heaven. My friend with Down syndrome can’t wait to be the spotless bride of Jesus, and her disability has raised her joy. The Bible says, “We have this blessed hope ….” Oh, friend, and that hope is especially exciting for people with disabilities. If you’d like to play a part in giving the hope of Christ to people like Robin, then join the movement at Joni and Friends. Volunteer at a Family Retreat or serve on a Wheels for the World outreach. Get to know people like Robin. And you can get all the details at joniandfriends.org.
