Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and I’m not the sort of person who likes to push her own books. And I don’t think I’ve ever said, “Hey, you ought to come and hear me speak.” I’m not into promoting myself. But I will tell you this: I have suffered. I understand debilitating pain. I resonate with anyone who is paralyzed. And I am aware of how hard it is to fight a serious cancer. But it has been the Word of God that has bolstered my spirits decade after decade, through 52 years of quadriplegia and more. I have no authority to speak or to write except the authority God has given me through my afflictions as understood through His Word. And that is why I write and speak.
