Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada and, at one time or another, we’ve all given the Good News of Christ to someone. Or … have we? Exactly what is the Good News that Jesus preached? What did He think the Good News meant? Well, in Matthew 3:2, Jesus preaches the Good News, and the very first thing we hear Him say is, “Repent and believe.” In the Gospels, whenever someone presents the Good News, it is first and foremost about “repentance.” So, if we were to sum up where to start sharing the Good News, it is, “Repent; turn away from your sin; stop disobeying God; get clean; and let Jesus help you do it.” Today, friend, do what I do nearly every morning when I wake up. I preach the Gospel to myself. I ask the Holy Spirit to show me some sin in my heart from which I need to repent. Because I want to change. And I think you do, too. And it starts with repentance.
