Rainbows Through The Rain

Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson TadaWhen you suffer, you can vacillate between days of glorious sunshine and then, driving rain. And you never know how long either of those times are gonna last, and it’s why when I am hurting, I’ll often quote these words from a favorite hymn: “Oh, joy, that seeks me through pain; I dare not close my heart to Thee‘Cause I trace the rainbow through the rain, and feel the promise is not vain that morning shall tearless be.” Isn’t that beautiful? You see, when you are in a downpour of endless trials, the promise of sunshiny days can seem so far offBut even in the driving rain of suffering, you have the promise of Psalm 30:5, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Would you hold onto that promise today, if you are in a rainy season of life? And rest assured, the driving rain of God’s sovereignty will always yield to His sunshine.
