Proverbs 3 Trust
Hi, I’m Joni Eareckson Tada, and when it comes to trust, it all depends on the person, doesn’t it? I mean, you’d have a hard time trusting someone you didn’t know, right? Ah, but trust is sure easier when you know your friend inside and out. To know someone’s character tells you whether or not he’s trustworthy. And it’s how I feel about Proverbs chapter 3 where it says to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart … and He will direct your paths.” You see, friend, you don’t need more trust; it’s not a matter of building up trust like, “Oh, I just have to trust more and more and more.” No, no, no. You just need to know Jesus more and more and more. Once you spend time in His Word and understand His character, trust comes naturally; it comes easily. So, if you need more trust, how about “need more Jesus!” Trust in the Lord Jesus, the One who is utterly trustworthy, and today, He will direct your paths.
